THE NEGEV
There is just so much one can do in the Negev. From taking an exciting off road jeep ride to sitting on the shores of the Red Sea that boast some of the worlds best coral reefs.
But that’s not all. The Negev has some of the earliest Zionist settlements in Gvulot, Revivim, and Ruhamma. You have heroic stories from the War of Independence at Yad Mordechai, and Israel’s 4th largest city, Beer Sheva.
The Negev has some of the worlds only Machteshim, a unique natural phenomenon that produces caters with incredible colored sands.
In Timna Park you can find the earliest copper minds known to man. Possibly King Solomon’s minds where here too!
The ancient Nabatean culture once thrived here. Trading spices and other goods from Yemen to the Mediterranean on what is called the spice route.
If you are looking for some excitement the Negev has some great cliffs for rock climbing, and trails for biking.
If Biblical Archeology is your thing, then you cant miss Tel Sheva, and Tel Arad. Which have 1st temple fortresses built at there.
No matter what your pleasure, if you are in Israel, you must visit the South for at least a day, if not more!
